Hi there. Hello. How do you do?

Hello, my name is Becca. I am a 30-something web and digital designer. I live in Southern Illinois with my husband and three kids. I have been dabbling in graphic design since early 2006. In 2008 I decided to go from hobby to business with the opening of my web and branding business, Graffiti Chicks.

During that time I discovered and fell in love with digital scrapbooking. In the year 2010 I decided to take the plunge into digital scrapbook design. I applied to the Apprentice program at Little Dreamer Designs and was accepted. I enjoyed the program with learning under Michelle Coleman and was thrilled to join the team at Little Dreamer Designs. This officially started my career as a digital scrapbook product designer. Tickled Pink Studio was born at this time and what I continue to design under.

Between college courses and self-learning, I have become proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite. Mainly using Illustrator and Photoshop out of the full suite for my current work. During my time as digital scrapbook product designer I have sold my products at Little Dreamer Designs, Two Peas in a Bucket, Scrap Orchard and Sweet Shoppe Designs.

As a designer I am drawn to color and typography. Here are some things that make my products different and true to me…

I love to use colors in a fresh out of the box sort of way.

Color. I love to use colors in a fresh out of the box sort of way. I feel that because something is traditionally one way it doesn’t mean that it can be done differently. I have a digital kit called Wild Horses that I just love. This kit is a great example of taking a subject and doing it in a different way. The colors used in this product aren’t normally what you would see and I believe that is part of what makes my products stand out.

Typography. My eye for type has always come naturally to me. I love to mix and match fonts together and with my own handwriting to create fabulous word bits, word art, and journal cards. I believe my love for typography reflects in a lot of my work.

Illustration.  I have always been one to draw and doodle and love to add that bit of uniqueness to my products.

On the personal side, I am a CRAZY cat lady, font addict who loves all things typography, graphic design, and just being creative. I love spending time with my family, watching a good flick and getting creative in the kitchen.

Other Places You Will Find Me

Establishing a Presence on Pinterest

The Tickled Pink Pinterest boards are set up to be not only a place to show off my products but also a tool or *go to* for the crafting industry. This is still a work in progress but along with myself and my two Pinterest girls we are working hard at marketing the Tickled Pink brand via Pinterest.

Staying Connected on Facebook

Facebook seems to be the place to be with many of the *general* scrapbook forums becoming a dying breed. I utilized Facebook to stay connected to my customers and future customers.

The Tickled Pink Blog (You Are Here)

When Facebook became the place to be the Tickled Pink blog took a hit. As Facebook seems to becoming more unfriendly to the small business types I have refocused on the blog and am breathing new life into it.

To get people moved back over to the blog I have started a few new blog series that have caught the interest of the readers. The first is a monthly template challenge. Each month they will get a free template and are encourage to play along with us in creating.

The second and my FAVORITE is the new Capture Your Everyday blog series. In this series we try to reconnect with our roots to memory keeping. Each post contains free printable journal card with the message for that part.

An old blog series that is getting ready to make a come back in the Fontology series. Each Fontology post highlights fonts that I love. I *try* to highlight free fonts but occasionally I have to share a beloved paid font.

The Tickled Pink Newsletter

The newsletter is another place I love to stay in contact with customers and fans. A newsletter is sent out each week.
